Ep 104. ”God Guided” (Part 1 of our Interview with Linette Ramos De Soto)
Monday Nov 08, 2021
Monday Nov 08, 2021
You are in for a treat Diary Listeners because this is a 3 part series with a very cool lady. Linette Ramos De Soto is an author, owner of Breads & Threads Handmade in Flint, MICH and a professional "Chicken Lady" (She owns and operates her own 'mini' farm).
From the first time we heard Linette, on Clubhouse, we knew we connected with this woman. She's funny and at the same time, holds a high ethical standard for all that she does. It's a rare thing in this world to meet someone with the kind of faith and confidence that our friend Linette has. She's come out on top through hard work, faith in God and overall, being a voice of love and reason. Her story is truly unique.
Since we did this recording, Linette has won an Art Achievement Award for Minority-Owned Business in Flint, MICH. Please be sure to check out her magazine as well: Breads & Threads the Magazine (Yup... Linette has her own magazine). Linette's magazine is all about empowering women and minorities to make their business dreams come true; So Linette even does business coaching: https://www.breadsnthreads.shop/start-your-business-journey
Beyond this interview series, please check out Linette's book, "Ramblings of a Chicken Lady". We feel that every home should have a copy.
Thank you Linette! You're an amazing person to know and call friend.

Monday Nov 01, 2021
Okay... So, right out the gate, we know Steve is going to blush when he sees the title of this episode... Own it and feel the force Steve! We all have doubts but the force is strong with you. Moreover, there's lessons learned in what others label us; They sometimes can see more than we can.
Steve Cochran is a manager and artist of Reckless Heart Tattoo in Greenville, SC. He's a wonderful guy and Amy had a great time meeting him (Rico wasn't available...shame, but we persevered).
Thank you Steve. We'll be coming to visit in the flesh at some point, or, if it happens at a convention sooner, be prepared for a big hug from both of us.

Last time, we learned about how Steve got going in the tattoo world... Not the most savory of places he admits. Hey, when the light comes in, it can only be seen clearly in the darkest of places.
Steve Cochran resides in Greenville, SC and manages Reckless Heart Tattoo. Having had a very unusual beginning, Steve truly cares about legacy; About how he impacts the world around him. Steve's gone through a lot of living. He's witnessed more than the average and knows what tattooing has done for him. Because of what Steve's experienced, he now aids in the coaching/education of other artists. (He just had one baby bird take flight into her own career.)
Some things to note:
The quote that Amy pointed out (the one about pain being transformed or transmitted) was said by Richard Rohr.
The artist, both Amy and Steve discussed, who does hand painted calligraphy, is @deliavico... Check out both references as these are people to know. :)
Thank you so very much Steve. We now have our time set with Rico and Tattoo-Steve ... This will be fun!!!

Ep101. ”Reformation” (Part 1 of Amy‘s interview with Steve Cochran)
Monday Oct 18, 2021
Monday Oct 18, 2021
This was an amazing 3 Part interview and we can't wait to share it with you!
Steve Cochran is an amazing guy, artist, manager, and undoubtedly, father. Steve resides in Greenville, SC and manages Reckless Heart Tattoo. He's not only gone through his own unique apprenticeship, but now helps apprentice other aspiring tattoo artists.
Steve has been a lot of places and experienced so much more than the average human, let alone, tattoo artist. He's truly worthy of having a book of his life written... and the amazing thing is that his life isn't even over yet; So many adventures await.
Thank you so very much Steve. We will be hitting you up to do an exclusive interview with you and Rico. Sorry he missed you this time. This exclusive has to happen because it will assuredly be the most fun podcast we've ever done.

Ep. 97 ”Power to the Parents” (A meet with EJ Tron of Unmask the Kids)
Monday Sep 13, 2021
Monday Sep 13, 2021
This was a wonderful meeting of minds. Amy met with EJ Tron of Unmask the Kids. This connection really started long before Unmask the Kids, as Amy has tattooed and done art for EJ's family since the early 2000's. Talk about legacy and community connection!
In this episode, we are publicly voicing our rejection of mask mandates. In truth, we reject mandates of any kind when it gets in the way of personal freedom, but this is specifically about masking children.
Every once in a while, it's important to declare a position. The members of this podcast try very hard to be transparent and open with who we are. We take pride in showing our passions and vulnerabilities. We believe that it is the best way to move forward authentically.
If you feel the same as EJ and this podcast, please reach out to EJ. She is on Instagram as @ej_tron and is the administrator of the Unmask the Kids group on Facebook (1.9K members to date). Also, EJ has created lovely shirts for the group, and if you would like one, please message or DM EJ. She will not stop in her fight for the children and all funding will go towards supporting the mission to unmasking children at school.
