Nicole is back! This is another check-in with the wonderful, Nicole DeRoy (now resident artist at Ascension Tattoo).
We've lived more life, learned more things; We're officially a Condo Crew! Post Paradise, we just wanted to sit down and talk about the latest happenings. 
This is a perfect, chill, reflective, show that we hope, helps keep folks moving towards personal betterment and healing... As well as reminding us that the greatest joy can only be had in the "present".

Ep. 240 "So Metal" (Diary Entry 2:2 with Allie Oxenblood)

Part 2 was so much fun with Allie Oxenblood, the Treehouse Tattooer. We finally talk about her apprenticeship. Yay!!! It is wild and the source of so much laughter, despite the very real and scary situations.  As determined within this show, life can either cause tears or laughter... Either way, we gotta get through. 
Allie... Thank you so much! This was a wonderful time and you were so gracious and gave such great advice at the end. Bless you and let's do this again.

Ep. 239 "Piercing the Veil" (Diary Entry 1:2 with Allie Oxenblood)

This is Part 1 of our 2 Part Diary Entry with Allie Oxenblood, the Treehouse Tattooer. I think Allie does a great job introducing herself in her IG bio: "Tattooin, Tale-tellin, pot-stirring, liberty loving, dissident mountain mama. Ceremonial treehouse tattooing in Appalachia, WV."
In this piece, we talk all things God and explore some of Allie's time tattooing. In truth, this was off-script from the start and in order to get to Allie's apprenticeship days, we might have to meet again.
Hopefully, this podcast went rogue in the best ways. Your host certainly enjoyed herself.

Ep. 238 "A Real Sweetheart" (3:3 Diary Entry with Kevin Kline)

In this last third of his Diary Entry, we talk about wisdom with Kevin Kline of Tattoo Icons (Perryville, MD); How important wisdom is and all the different ways to acquire wisdom (the funny and stupid ways). Kevin shares what his hopes are for the next 5 years and shouts out some epic influences he's had already; Influences that give him hope and inspiration for the future. 
Overall, this show is honored to know such a sweet human as Kevin. It's obvious that he cares deeply about the work and those he practices with.

This wasn't an assessment of the Paradise Tattoo Gathering. It was a personal assessment of how I felt after I went to this gathering and the specific ways that I really stretched beyond my limits.

Ep. 234 "The Family That Plays Together" (Diary Entry 2:2 with Lewis Bunn)

This is Part 2 and the last portion of our time with Lewis Bunn or "Lewie" .  Lewis is an Englishman, living in Australia and he's been working his body to the bone to give his kids and wife, a better life. In this second half of his show, we hear about the really cool family Lewie has; They are all wicked talented! 
Lewis was in construction but wanted to pursue a better life for his family. By giving into his heart, moving across the world and seeking a life as a tattoo artist, Lewis is really a great example to all those out there who are struggling to tattoo as a career. He has three kids, a wife, and the regulations of Australia, to balance, along with his passion for art. He's really showing how much a man can do if he simply is willing to hustle. 
Pardon the conversational style of this podcast, but Lewis has been a friend to this show since 2019; We kinda just caught up, in this show. We hope it's fun for everyone to listen to.

Ep. 233 "A Better Life" (Diary Entry 1:2 with Lewis Bunn)

Lewis Bunn or "Lewie" , has been apart of this podcast, on the back channels, since the beginning. In the background of this podcast's growth, Lewis was trying to get into tattooing. He's an Englishman, living in Australia and he's been working his body to the bone to give his kids and wife, a better life. 
Lewis had a trade but wanted to pursue a passion in the arts. Tattooing is this for many out there and since 2019, Lewis has been keeping in touch with this podcast; Trying to make friends and get into a field that isn't easy... Especially with a family to support. 
Pardon the conversational style of this podcast, but I am just so excited to finally have Lewis on the show. We don't talk often so this was, in many ways, a personal catch-up that is shared with all of you.
