Ep. 188 ”Moon Landing” (1:2 Diary Entry with Killian Moon)
Tuesday Nov 21, 2023
Tuesday Nov 21, 2023
One of my favorite beers is Killian's Red and that's one of the fun facts I shared with Killian Moon, when I met him at Paradise Tattoo Gathering.
Right away, I was caught by Killian's personality (He's like a human cat <3). I loved him instantly and later, realized that he does gorgeous tattoos of almost every kind (another thing I really admire as he does all styles well).
His seminar was on how to work with and photograph, all skin tones, but the man is multi-talented and a true pleasure to experience. We know you'll enjoy this 2 part Entry.
Happy Thanksgiving Diary Listeners and Killian... Thank you so much. We are grateful.

Ep. 187 ”Sponge Ya Lata” (2:2 Diary Entry with Nicole DeRoy)
Tuesday Nov 14, 2023
Tuesday Nov 14, 2023
This is a wonderful second half with Nicole DeRoy, as in this part of her Diary Entry, we get the sense that she's taking the power back and finding her rhythm in the tattoo world.
Listen in to hear the origins of this phrase "Sponge ya lata," and what this symbolizes for Nicole in her tattoo journey.
Remember, you can find Nicole working in RI at Acme Ink Tattoo. You can also follow her spiritual work by clicking here.
Thank you so very much Nicole. So honored to meet you early in your life as a tattoo artist. Your passion is evident and with a drive like you have, we don't see anything being out of reach for you.

After Paradise Tattoo Gathering, it was clear that this show needed to gather the apprenticeship journey's of both "Nicoles" that Rico and I got to stay with at Jiminy Peak, MA.
This week, we hear from Nicole DeRoy of Acme Ink Tattoo, in RI. She's had a very fettered start as her apprenticeship started in 2020. Beyond Covid, Nicole found many hurdles in her learning journey that we break down in this first part.
Listen in and hear another wild 2020, origin story; It certainly required stamina and grace.
Thank you Nicole! We know that you're on your way lady. ;)

Ep. 185 ”Gifted and Grateful” (Diary Entry 2:2 with Nicole Williams)
Tuesday Oct 31, 2023
Tuesday Oct 31, 2023
In this second part, of Nicole Williams' Diary Entry, we hear nothing but gratitude. She admits that this is all so much better then she had imagined and how glorious her mentor Scott, has been. Scott owns and operates Trident Tattoo Company in PA.
Nicole is so humble and super voracious for knowledge. She is just getting started and already has gotten tattooed and put before legends in this industry. What's more, she does the task of taking inventory so that she never forgets why she's where she is.
We are so happy to know Nicole and we know this will be the first of many podcasts ahead. More than likely, Nicole will be on much more prestigious shows than this raw podcast. We will pray that is the case as she is so talented and a very good example as to how to move in this industry.
God bless you Nicole, Scott, your family and as always, our Listeners!

Ep. 183 ”Scale” (Diary Entry 3:3 with Casey Hart)
Tuesday Oct 17, 2023
Tuesday Oct 17, 2023
Deepest gratitude to Casey Hart, owner and operator of Fox wood Tattoo Collective, located in Eldersburg, MD.
In this last part, we hear about some of how Casey has integrated her her education in holistic healing with her tattooing practice. It's really cool, to put it mildly. ( I want (your host) to experience it, to be frank!)
I can't tell you all the gratitude I have for Casey and this 3 part podcast submission (Diary Entry Series). Casey really inspired me and I feel assured that the energy of this time will continue to ripple outwards to all who listen.
Thank you so much Casey Hart and God bless all!

Ep.182 ”Create” (Diary Entry 2:3 with Casey Hart)
Tuesday Oct 10, 2023
Tuesday Oct 10, 2023
Welcome back to this second part with Casey Hart. In this second piece, Casey continues to share space with this show and yield more and more insights with our Listeners.
As we sat in Casey's studio (Fox wood Tattoo Collective) , in these comfy chairs, we talked about a lot of discomfort and the necessity to embrace discomfort when the aim is to transform.
This entire, three-part-podcast, is littered with inspiration. Casey has invoked so much in her life and what's more is that she continues to welcome more; It shows immense perseverance and adds credence to her message. It's clear that with her current choices, there's room to keep inviting life in. A lot of times, with such immense change, there's a tendency to invite too much in. Casey is showing her sincere knowledge of boundaries. Only what will serve will be entertained... The rest will be gracefully, let go.
Thank you Casey and God bless!

Ep. 181 ”Initiate” (Dairy Entry 1:3 with Casey Hart)
Tuesday Oct 03, 2023
Tuesday Oct 03, 2023
So much was going on in the life of Casey Hart, over the past few years, we just had to catch up and get the scoop.
Our last time with Casey, she was in Covid-land with the rest of us. She also worked along with her mentor (in his studio) and had just taken on her first apprentice.
NOW... Casey, in just a few years, has opened her own studio (Fox wood Tattoo Collective) and her apprentice has graduated to fellow tattoo artist and partner in all things business. Not only that, but Casey has transformed her body, mind, view... the list goes on.
I can't tell you all the gratitude I have for Casey and this 3 part podcast submission. Casey really inspired me (your host) and I feel assured that she'll inspire you Listeners, as well.
Thank you and God bless you all!

In this second part, we learn more about the spiritual connection that John has to all that he does. He's so amazingly articulate and we know that this time illustrates what an astounding human he is in all ways.
John's company is Eden Health Md and you can read about and contact John here.

Ep. 179 ”Upstream” (Diary Entry 1:2 with John Simmonds)
Tuesday Sep 19, 2023
Tuesday Sep 19, 2023
So excited to introduce my friend and acupuncturist, John Simmonds. John is smart with his health and well-being, so he doesn't fetter his life with social media; Instead, you can find John and all the brilliant services he offers, on his website that you can view here.
The title of this show was inspired by the journey of the Koi as John has this Japanese legend tattooed to him; 1/2 of this "koi journey" was tattooed on John's left side, by your host (Amy C Nicholls).
Koi, Yin Yang, holistic medicine as well as some amazing entertainment recommendations, are found in just this first part of John's Diary Entry. We do hope you'll come back next week for the second half, but as always, we want to thank you for your listening time today.
God Bless you Listeners as well as you John!

The Mission:
This podcast is about learning journeys. We (Amy and Rico) interview people who have braved the unknown; People who can offer, through their story/stories, communion and coping, for those who dare to pursue passion.
