Ep 152. ”Name Day” (1:3 Diary Entry with John Greaney)
Monday Jan 30, 2023
Monday Jan 30, 2023
Happy Birthday John Greaney (Sounds like Grainy)!!! John owns and operates Relatively Painless Tattoo in the UK (Scotland). Listen to discover all the 'names' and learn more about our good friend John.
Amy has never met John in real life, but even via the computer and all the crap we have to navigate in this tech world, Amy and John were able to make a connection and become friends. It's amazing what happens when we risk, take a chance and lead with love.
Thank you John and enjoy all that you've created my friend. The world is better because of you and this podcast is honored to celebrate you with this Diary Entry (1:3).

Ep 151. ”Onward and Up” (Part 3 of our Interview with DJ Chuck Nunn)
Monday Jan 23, 2023
Monday Jan 23, 2023
As we start 2023, we will be moving ahead without Chuck Nunn as our audio guy; We're all moving on and up. It's time to ask these baby birds to fly the nest to new, thrilling, higher, feats. As Chuck would say and did say, "find what you can't not."... and then go after that.
Thank you so much Chuck! You're a forever friend and I'm eternally grateful for all that you've given me. Jen's really amazing too and both Rico and I are blessed by your friendship.

Ep 150. ”There’s an Energy” (Part 2 of our Interview with DJ Chuck Nunn)
Monday Jan 16, 2023
Monday Jan 16, 2023
Well, there was a lot of things that we could have called Part 2 with Chuck Nunn, but overall, this episode really explores nuance and specifics to the job of either Performance, Learning, DJing or Tattooing, that may or may not, be so evident.
Chuck shares all that led him to being a DJ and we hear together, how Chuck came to working on The Apprenticeship Diaries. Lots of respect goes to Chuck in this episode as he discusses the hard knocks to getting to where he is today.
Again, endless thanks to our Nunn Chuck. Just like the bassist in a band, we really need him. Love you Chuck!

Ep 149. ”Nunn Chuck” (Part 1 of our Interview with DJ Chuck Nunn)
Monday Jan 09, 2023
Monday Jan 09, 2023
What better way to start the New Year than to FINALLY spotlight the man behind the podcast, trying ever so much to make this tech-ignorant band of podcast-newbs, sound good... Chuck Nunn?!!!
In this, we'll hear about Chuck's beginnings and how he found himself working and loving, the life of a wedding DJ. This is a really cool chat as Amy tries to draw as many parallels to the world of tattooing to that of a DJ. No matter what Amy's able to comprehend, the point is that Chuck is the kind of guy who follows his passions; He doesn't make excuses as to why he can't, rather, he seeks to walk into the unknown and help his friends along the way.
We loved starting 2023 out with you Chuck (and Jen too). Thank you!

Ep 148. ”Your Idols Have Idols” (Part 3 of Our Interview with Jason Leeser)
Monday Dec 26, 2022
Monday Dec 26, 2022
Did you ever want a list of, as we dubbed it Christmas Day, the "Rushmore" of tattoo artists to follow? Never fear because Jason Leeser's coming in clutch with his top inspirations. We feel bad cause we had to cut him off at some point (it was pushing 3 am by the end of this recording).
In this episode, you'll see that you are in fact, the sum of who you're around; Jason has made a point of not only being inspired by many artists, but putting himself in alignment with them; Either by traveling, where he ultimately met so many amazing people or by getting tattooed with the hope to gleam some insight and start a relationship. What you'll learn in this last episode is that your idols might be far more "touchable" than you might imagine.
What you'll really see is that Jason is a great guy who not only hustles his heart out but is willing to go any distance to make sure that not only is his body covered in elite tattoo work, but that he gets to meet and experience the epic talent of the tattoo community.
Thank you SO much Jason! You made the world a smaller place for us and gave us hope that all things are in reach. Such a great way to end 2022.
The List in no specific order:
Guy Aitchison, Clint Danroth, Steve Moore, Fibs, Whole Tex Family over at Deadly Tattoos, Chris Dunn, Shane Ford, Rich Wren, Bill Canales, Dave Tevenal, Ian over at Yellow Rose Tattoo and finally, all of Reinventing the Tattoo.
Make sure to follow the studio's associated with all of these brilliant artists; You'll find even more talent to gush over.

Ep 146. ”Finally!” (Part 1 of Our Interview with Jason Leeser)
Monday Dec 12, 2022
Monday Dec 12, 2022
So happy to introduce Jason Leeser to our Diary Listeners. We took the time to come together, amongst a very full schedule, at this past, North East Meet Up, put on by Needle Jig.
This interview went on into the wee hours and this is only the first part. Many cool thoughts and experiences are exchanged.
Thank you so much Jason. You've always been a friend and we're sorry if we every made you feel otherwise. We loved this time and we will have to come visit you in Philly; Pop by The Ink Well for some hugs and laughs. Or, maybe do one of those huge painting collaboratons we talked about.

Ep 144. ”To Be Essential” (Part 2 of Amy’s Interview with Nathan Rearden)
Monday Nov 21, 2022
Monday Nov 21, 2022
In this next part, we hear about what it's like to be "essential" for Nathan Rearden (a current nursing assistant and aspiring tattoo artist), specifically during the Covid pandemic.
We also hear about when and where we can hope to see Nathan next. If you happen to be near the KY area and have an interest in comic books, you might want to pay attention to this next episode so that you can not only invest in a passion for graphic story, but also go meet Nathan and the wonderful team of tattoo artists that he'll be exhibiting with: Check out Lexington Comic and Toy Convention...Should be a blast!
Thank you Nathan; Not only for your time on this show, but for the many ways you've served... This could not be more perfect as this podcast comes post Veteran's Day and right before Thanksgiving. We are very grateful for you.

This was a cool interview and we know that it will be one of many as Nathan Rearden keeps moving towards his passion to be in the tattoo industry.
Coming out of work experience involving naval, military, service on a vessel (which you'll hear more about in the interview), to learning electrical work, to his current job as a certified nursing assistant, Nathan has gathered an array of perspectives. He's still looking to serve people, but he knows that an investment in his art will be key to both his happiness and the kind of aid he's able to give the world.
Learn how Amy met Nathan and celebrate this new talent by cheering him on. If you're local to KY, go to Comic and Toy Con and you can meet Nathan as he will be exhibiting with tattoo artist friends, selling prints of his art.
